Adding the personal touch

A Mother’s Day gift with a personal touch

We understand that each year, it can be hard to find a special gift that really shows your Mum how much you appreciate everything she does because let’s be honest, no matter what age, mothers are our saviours, our best friends and amazing. We thought what better gift to give your Mum on Mother’s Day than a Say Nice Things journal with a few special touches to add extra thought and love to your gift.

We pride ourselves on designing our journals so that you can use them in the ways that work best for you. So, here are some ideas on how you could personalise your journal to make it the perfect gift this Mother’s Day…

Make it theirs. In every Say Nice Things journal and notebook we have a personalisation section where you can add your name and contact details to make sure it comes back to you wherever it ends up. Fill in this section making it theirs forever.

Fill it with thank you notes. In all our Journals we have a pocket attached to the back page to keep those all-important notes or special keepsakes. Why not fill it with a thank you note such as:

  • Thank you for…looking after the children
  • Thank you for making me laugh
  • Thank you for doing all my washing when I lived at home
  • That you for being a great Mum

Go coupon crazy. As we all get caught up in the business of day-to-day life it’s very easy to  forget to show our appreciation and spend that cherished time with family. Why not show your thanks by adding a years supply of coupons (one for each month) to make sure you allocate time to spend time together and pay back all the times your mum has helped you out. Some ideas to get you started:

  • I promise…we will go for lunch together this month
  • I promise…we will take the dog for a walk and have a good natter
  • I promise…to do the washing up (Dad, you may need to help out with these if your children are a little younger!)
  • Some blank coupons for your Mum to choose her own reward

For an extra special touch, why not add your favourite photo together into the journal pocket too.

These are just a few ideas for how you could use a Say Nice things journal to create the perfect Mother’s Day gift, but we are sure there are plenty more. If you have any ideas of your own, we’d love to hear them too.  With our range of beautiful A5 journals, you’ll be sure to find the perfect gift for Mother’s Day to personalise in whichever way you choose to.

Happy journaling.
